Feed your lawn the correct way and have the best in the neighborhood

As a lot of you know I like my lawn. I like the way it looks and that my kids have a safe area to play. I know t here are plenty of people that do not like the turf grass that we use but with two small children who love to play soccer we need to have a lawn. So how do we have a safe and environmentally friendly lawn? It starts with knowledge and the right products like fertilizer.
I found a great fertilizer called Nutri-Plus sold at Flower Land , VanWierens Hardware and Graafschap hardware stores and have been using it for a few years now. This fertilizer is made out of chicken poop and is the best fertilizer I have ever used. I have convinced many of the “Jones” in the world to try it and they all love it. It is a great use of a waste product plus it makes my lawn look great in a safe way.
The best thing I have learned over the years is to keep weeds out of your lawn you must feed and water it correctly. This takes some education but it is easy to do. Once you have educated yourself you will spend less time and money than most people do on their lawns.
So kick back in your hammock and toast your neighbor as he toils on his lawn.

Manage Weeds in your yard

For spot treatment or for small areas of pure weeds, many people have reported great success with 20% vinegar sprayed as a foliar spray, not a soil drench. Vinegar can be found at organic garden shops and feed stores. To a gallon of vinegar, mix a tablespoon of liquid dish soap and two tablespoons of molasses as wetting agents. Apply full strength from a hand sprayer. Be careful not to get any spray on you or in your eyes or inhale it. The smell will go away in 15 minutes. 20% vinegar will be the most hazardous thing you use in organic gardening. BPA and my church

It is simply amazing the amount of plastics out there in the world. Plastics come in almost everything we touch, smell, eat, and even sleep on. It is just simply amazing to me the amount of plastic we are surrounded with.
The reason I am mentioning this is that at least we are becoming more and more aware of the amount of plastics and what it may be doing to our health. I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were saying we ingest a lot of plastics.( I forget the amount) This is scary to me. Last week at the church that I attend they were selling water bottles that said BPA free. To see a church doing this is exciting. You really do not see this everyday. An institution looking out for your health. Most just want to get some cheap bottles not matter what they have in them as long as they are inexpensive.
Just a piece of advice look before you buy and if there is something better that doesn't effect ones health or even does some good in the world give it a try instead of going for the cheapest thing out there.
